1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of glowhausafrica.com and any order you place with us. Shopify operates the site on behalf of GlowHaus, a company registered in Ghana. By using the site or placing an order, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Who can buy from us
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and be able to enter a binding contract under Ghanaian law.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access. We can suspend or close an account used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.
4. Products, shades and images
We describe every product as accurately as we can, and shade guidance is central to what we do. Even so, colour on a screen is not colour on skin: monitor calibration, lighting and photography all shift how a shade reads. Product images are a guide, not an exact match. Formulations, packaging and ingredient lists are set by the brands and can change without notice, so always read the packaging you receive.
Availability is not guaranteed. We may limit quantities, discontinue a product, or restrict sales to any person or region at our discretion.
5. Authenticity
Everything we sell is sourced from the brand or an authorised distributor. We do not sell counterfeit, decanted, repackaged, or expired products. If you ever have grounds to doubt an item you received from us, contact us, and we will investigate it seriously.
6. Prices and payment
All prices are in Ghana Cedis and include applicable Ghanaian taxes. Delivery is charged separately and shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but a change will never affect an order we have already accepted.
We accept mobile money, Visa, and Mastercard. Payment is taken in full at checkout.
7. How an order is made
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is only formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation. An order confirmation email is an acknowledgement that we received your order, not an acceptance of it.
We may decline or cancel an order and refund you in full if the item is out of stock, the price or description was obviously wrong, we suspect fraud or resale, or we cannot deliver to your address.
8. Promotions and discount codes
Promotional codes are single use per customer unless stated otherwise, cannot be combined with other offers, have no cash value, and can be withdrawn at any time. We may cancel orders and void codes where a promotion has been abused.
9. Skincare is not medical advice
Everything we publish, including shade recommendations, routine guidance, consultations and educational content, is general information to help you choose products. It is not medical, dermatological or professional advice, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.
Read every ingredient list before use, patch test new products, and follow the manufacturer's directions. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, using prescription treatments, or dealing with a skin condition, speak to a qualified healthcare professional before changing your routine. Stop using any product immediately if you react to it, and seek medical attention if the reaction is severe.
10. Reviews and content you post
You can post reviews, photos, comments, and other content on our site and tag us on social media. Anything you post must be your own, accurate, and free of anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or infringing.
By posting content or tagging us publicly, you grant GlowHaus a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce and display that content in our marketing, on our site and on our channels, with credit to your handle where practical. You can ask us to stop using your content at any time by emailing [care@glowhausafrica.com]. We may remove or decline to publish any content at our discretion.
11. Our content
The GlowHaus name, logo, site design, photography, editorial content and educational material belong to us or our licensors and are protected by Ghanaian and international intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or use them commercially without our written permission. Brand names and product images belong to their respective owners and are used to describe the products we sell.
12. What you may not do
Do not use the site to break the law, buy for commercial resale without our written agreement, scrape or copy our catalogue or content systematically, interfere with the site's operation or security, or impersonate anyone.
13. Availability of the site
We aim to keep the store running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw, or change any part of the site without notice.
14. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Ghanaian law, including your rights in respect of goods that are faulty or not as described.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from your use of a product contrary to its instructions or your own sensitivities, and our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
15. Third-party links
Our site may link to brand sites and other third-party pages. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published on the site when you place an order applies to that order.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. If something goes wrong, contact us first at [care@glowhausafrica.com] so we can try to resolve it directly. Any dispute we cannot resolve is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
18. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a term does not waive it. These terms, together with our privacy, shipping and refund policies, are the whole agreement between us.
